Oliver

Our Sweet Oliver

On November 22nd 2018, we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy Oliver. It was an incredibly emotional time. We would like to thank all of our amazing family and friends for their support.

In addition, we would like to express our most sincere gratitude to the following:

The staff from Golden Lake, who have taken care of another of our beloved doggies after they leave us.

The doctors, whose names I’m sorry to say I don’t remember, from Peaceful Pet Passage, who allowed Oliver to pass from the comfort of his own home, cuddled in my arms and surrounded by his loved ones. This is an incredible and compassionate service you folks offer and we have all the respect in the world for this difficult job you do every day.

To Aunt Jill and bff/cuz Kelly, for spending the whole day with us, offering support and comfort to Oliver, Marc, and myself.

To the doctors and staff at Veterinary Referral Center in Malvern, for caring for our buddy, who had never before spent a night without a family member or friend to cuddle; Oliver was happy to see us when we picked him up, but didn’t seem bothered that he spent the night without us.

To the staff at Lancaster Veterinarian Specialties in Lancaster, for treating Oliver like your own during his exam and tests, for your kindness and patience explaining the results and next steps.

To Dr Stern and her staff at Healing Creatures Animal Hospital in Camp Hill, for your exceptional care and availability for us and Oliver over the past two months.

And finally, to Dr Albin, currently at Animal Hospital of West Manheim in Hanover, previously of Compassion Animal Hospital in East Berlin, and Gettysburg Road Animal Hospital in Mechanicsburg. Dr Albin had been with us from our first days with Oliver, and we think the world of him. He always greeted Oliver on his level and even seemed to enjoy all the doggy kisses. This is why we followed him through several moves. Sadly, the 50 minute car ride was beginning to be harder for Oliver, but we will always be so thankful to him for the past 13 years of care.
